Welcome back to the second week of my 75 Hard challenge updates! This week, I truly felt like I was hitting my stride. As the days go by, getting through the challenge is becoming more manageable, and I'm settling into a rhythm that works for me. I've streamlined my routine, my workouts are feeling better, and I'm adapting to the demands of the challenge. Additionally, this week brought some exciting developments, such as an unexpected late-night yoga session and an inspiring journey through the world of supplements. So, let's dive into the details!

Improved Routine and Workouts

This week, I've made substantial progress in sticking to my daily gallon of water intake. I've found it increasingly easier to complete my water goal well before bedtime, keeping me well-hydrated throughout the day.

In terms of workouts, I've decided to challenge myself further by switching to a more intense workout routine. My initial program was set at a beginner level, and it became evident that I was stronger than I had initially thought. These new workouts are longer, eliminating the need to stress about hitting the 45-minute mark or devising additional exercises to meet the requirement.

Embracing Outdoor Yoga

One day, my husband and I found ourselves with a late-evening outdoor workout session due to errands that ran late. As our neighborhood isn't the best lit at night, we decided to embrace the challenge and opt for outdoor yoga. This turned out to be a delightful experience as we were greeted by a starry night sky. The experience was so invigorating that late-night outdoor yoga might become a part of my routine in the future.

Dancing in the Rain

Another day, we faced unpredictable Florida weather with sporadic rain showers. Despite our best efforts to time our walk to avoid getting caught in the rain, we ended up drenched during the evening workout. Surprisingly, this unexpected turn of events provided a refreshing and pleasant cooldown after a hot, humid Florida walk.

Muscle Soreness and Recovery

Compared to the previous week, muscle soreness was significantly reduced during week two. My body was adapting to the workouts, but I believe quick recovery was also due to the supplements I've incorporated into my routine. These supplements have played a crucial role in my journey, and I've received numerous questions about them. So, let's delve into the supplements that have been aiding my progress.

The Power of Supplements

Here's a breakdown of the supplements I've been using:

Weight Loss System: 1-Db Goddess and Overdrive Fastpack These systems are designed to promote weight loss by targeting specific aspects of the body throughout the day. Both packs feature Thyro-Drive, a supplement that supports fat loss by providing nutrients to the thyroid gland. This encourages the release of stored fat for energy and contains a neurotropic blend for improved cognitive function without jitters.

  • 1-Db Goddess is formulated with the female body in mind. It addresses water retention, hormonal fluctuations, and cravings that are common challenges for women during weight loss. It's lower in stimulants to accommodate a female's sensitivity, making it a suitable choice. However, females can opt for Overdrive if they desire an extra energy boost.

  • The energy provided by both products is enhanced by Thyro-Drive, ensuring clean, lasting energy without jittery side effects.

Opti-Greens 50 Opti-Greens 50 focuses on promoting gut health, which has been linked to weight loss. It aids in regulating blood sugar levels by reducing carb absorption and enhancing fat burning. It also decreases bloating by eliminating toxins and gas buildup in the gut. Opti-Greens 50 is a convenient way to get a full serving of daily vegetables and is especially useful when you can't consume enough veggies during the day.

Collagen with Derrmaval While not directly related to weight loss, Collagen with Derrmaval is a supplement I use daily. Collagen benefits joints, tendons, skin, and nails. This product has notably improved my skin, reducing dry spots, promoting healthier skin, and enhancing elasticity. It's a diverse amino acid source, and its use has shown noticeable results.

Post Workout & Meal Replacement Protein: Phormula-1 & Level-1 Both Phormula-1 and Level-1 proteins are known for their low-temperature processing and ultra-high bioavailability. These proteins are gentle on the stomach and don't cause digestive discomfort or bloating. They're easy to mix, taste great, and are essential for muscle recovery and meal replacements.

  • Phormula-1 is a rapid assimilation whey isolate with 5 grams of BCAAs, designed to help muscles recover quickly.

  • Level-1 is a sustained assimilation protein, thicker than Phormula-1, ideal for meal replacements when you're on the go.

A Reminder and Disclaimer

It's essential to understand that there's no magic pill for weight loss. Supplements can only enhance your progress when combined with proper nutrition and exercise. If you have any diagnosed medical conditions, consult your doctor before starting a supplement regimen. 1st Phorm provides nutrition labels on their website, which can be shared with your doctor for their guidance.

Continuing the Journey

In the past 14 days, I've committed to two 45-minute workouts daily, counted macros, and maintained a diet of clean, healthy, homemade food. You don't need to follow a regimen as strict as mine or take on the 75 Hard Challenge, but it's important to find a sustainable routine that works for you. Your journey may not be the same as mine, but the key is to keep moving forward and make progress towards your goals.

Lastly, remember the disclaimer: if you have any diagnosed health conditions, please consult your doctor before beginning any fitness regimen or taking any supplements. I'm not a doctor, so if you have questions, I'll be happy to refer you to your healthcare provider for advice. If you have questions about products or anything else related to your fitness journey, feel free to send me a direct message.
